Rebecca Cordley of Weston/Pinchbeck, nr Spalding

Right children, I have another two.  But those only give Rebecca as the name.  (no Jane)

Perhaps they converted to Methodism after 1844 and she gave herself another name, or she had a nickname?

The histories I read were perhaps written decades later...  family tales often are a little different from the truth, as we all know.

The children were all baptised before the Primitive Methodist chapel was built in Pinchbeck.

"The first Pinchbeck West Primitive Methodist chapel in Northgate dates from 1843/5  and was known as the Hosannah Primitive Methodist Chapel."

But their Baptism records are of the Primitive Methodists - eg Sarah Ann on 18 Nov 1836.

There is also a ANN Cordly bapt 30 Apr. 1797 Weston to RICHARD/CATHERINE.
She married William ALLABY 23 Apr 1821 Fleet and is easy to find on Census.

Another possible Mother for Rebecca Jones Cordley.

Richard COARDLY married Katharine BENSON 10 Dec 1782 Thurlby by Bourne.
Bapts of children are on FreeREG 1786=1806 1st at Cowbit and others Weston including a Benson 1806.

Also I noted a Burial of ANN Cordly 02 Jul 1796 Weston age 11

Re 1841 Census with Rebecca Cordley with Jones Family;

There are bapts Gedney Hill for children of MARK/ANN Jones 1790-1809 + burials of children also.
1st child is Rebecca 1790
