It certainly is a chilly day, had hoped for a few more sunny days but it isn't too late.

The hem of my dress was   lowered after the birth of our daughter,  bending over a pram ,  a proper pram not like the ones today,  I thought I ought to lower the hem, just a tad .

I am going to Lewes  next Saturday, using  the bowls club away day as what I call " bottoms  on seats" helps to pay for the coach, after roaming  around we go back to the club for refreshments.

Bridigmac, hope you sort out your ATM problems.

Methinks the heating and will  be on soon

Take care, keep warm

The temperature has definitely shifted today and having opened all the windows everywhere they have been gradually closed!
Long trousers and shirt over a T shirt… even thinking of putting socks on.. my OH still wearing shorts and a fleece!
Lovely pic of you and your wife Jeff… short skirts all the rage in those days!
Hope everyone is keeping warm
Good luck brigmatic with your issues hope it’s sorted soon for you.
Enjoy your day out in Lewes next week LM, my son-in-law comes from there, lovely little place.

Agree, a lovely picture Jeff and loving memory x

Golly brigidmac, sounds as if you do deserve a break, though no more teeth you hear! I do hope the finance and accounts issue is sorted in  your favour too.

Between seasons we're probably having similar days, it has been said this past winter has had a high rate of flu, RSV etc and we know a few who have had covid, one couple for the 4th time and as already mentioned high absenteeism at schools and workplaces, hopefully not the case for your winter!
Our daughter and family, including other grandparents who live nearer and together regularly, have all had a bad health run this term and including a couple of bouts of gastro doing the rounds. Visits to doctor and or hospital for each of them for appointments. Daughter is lucky to have a good family doctor who has got to know them well in the last 12 years, he has a twin brother also a doctor in area. A recent rough week she managed to get appointments for each of the 3 girls ... 3 separate days and three different times and then miss six had a hospital followup on the Friday after having run into a pole at school! She seems to cope quite well juggling family life but does get exhausted as still recovering from her concussion 15 months ago and only just returning to full time teaching again on medical advice. Before she and her husband met and married, he suffered a couple of concussions and wasn't given the excellent specialist head trauma care and treatment she has had, unfortunately issues arising now from that for him and chronic fatigue plus other injuries requiring some surgery ... so yes a pile of health files!

She is looking forward to moving from the temporary accommodation in since they sold their previous home and happy with new purchase though School holidays will disappear fast no doubt, rolling teachers strikes this week too. Organising done now for school performance, more a talent show than concert an afternoon and evening this week, auditions and information for families sorted.

LM, plenty of options for bircher to suit your own preferences, I keep it quite simple for us and we're both happy with that, husband has his daily banana with his  :) ... I've rambled a lot to finish the thread :P already a new week of course for us ... cheers
