1848 marriage shows John Mills was a carpenter
Children’s baptisms in Camborne show John Mills as a Carpenter or builder
1861 census shows occupation for John was carpenter
I would expect the census to show John Mills in the same occupation. (not Printer)

1841 census Camborne Cornwall (writing on image is rather pale)
Wm Baker 35 shoemaker
John Mills 20 carpenter
Honor Piondgey? 14 servant

I am not seeing John in the 1851 census

Could this be your John Myles in 1851 (mis-transcribed as Styles) in lodgings?

Are you certain you have the correct parents for John Mills?
His marriage record 1848, says his father William was a farmer, and is deceased.
Milligan - Jardine – Glencross – Dinwoodie - Brown: (Dumfriesshire & Kirkcudbrightshire)
Clark – Faulds – Cuthbertson – Bryson – Wilson: (Ayrshire & Renfrewshire)
Neale – Cater – Kinder - Harrison: (Warwickshire & Queensland)
Roberts - Spry: (Cornwall, Middlesex & Queensland)
Munster: (Schleswig-Holstein & Queensland) and Plate: (Braunschweig, Neubruck & Queensland & New York)

It won't be Styles as he married Elizabeth in 1848.

Hanes teulu.

Great find in 1841. So he WAS in Camborne by then.

1851 a big mystery though...

It doesn’t say Styles. As I explained, that is an error in the transcription I posted.

I beg your pardon. Sorry about that. I thought his father was a shoemaker in the 1841 census.

Marriage cert of John says father is farmer too...
