Possible Marriage
« on: Saturday 06 September 25 18:37 BST (UK) »
My great-grandmother Juliana Augusta Hull born 14 July 1849 had a child in 1879, stating on the birth certificate that the father was a William Willis. Later she married William John Cream in 1884 which states Juliana was a widow and was a Willis.  Basically I am trying to trace this William Willis.

It’s possible she never married William and claimed to be a widow but who was she with in the 1881 census?

Where was the child born?  If true there should be a William Willis death between 1879 and 1884.

Was the child registered as Hull or Willis?  What was its name?

Where are the child & Juliana in 1881?

There is a baptism for Juliana Augusta Emma Hull on 2.8.1848 so she could not have been born in 1849

I don't know if this will help but just wanted to note a couple of things-

Maud is baptised 31 Aug 1879 St. John, Hackney, William's occupation is clerk.
I don't know how much the trees have looked at William so I looked for just William Watson Willis and a marriage in 1872 to a Mary Ann Pittock has his occupation as Mercantile Clerk.

Maud's baptism address is Queen Ann's Road whilst William Watson Willis in the directories and electoral roll covering Maud's birth and to 1885 has an address of 146 or 186 Finborough Road (Kensington and Chelsea)
His probate record 1900 has an address of 146 Finborough Road, occ accountant, widow Mary Ann Willis.

I don't know if he is Maud's father so noting this just in case it helps in anyway.
