Ellen Cardwell

Hello Everyone, I am having trouble with my ancestor Ellen Cardwell, born/bap 28/9/1783 St. Chad Poulton Le Flyde parents Robert and Betty. I have been seaching on FindMyPast found her alive in the 1851 Census with her husband Richard Smith and his siblings. She married Richard Smith on the 20/4/1803 St. Chad Poulton Le Flyde he was from the Parish of Bispham, Ellen from this parish of Poulton Le Flyde. Witness Betty Smith and John Hull. I found a lot of Ellen Cardwell listed, but having trouble finding her burial date. This family has become hard to find. Also came across Richard a widower, in another Census. The 1851 census somehow looks correct with Ellen and his siblings.
Would love help if possible.

In 1851 were Richard and Ellen with his brother Thomas and sister Peggy living at Norbreck, Bispham, Lancashire?

I found possible burials for Richard and Peggy in the Bispham parish records

Richard Smith Age   76
Burial 8 Oct 1852 Bispham, Lancashire
Residence - Norbeck

Peggy Smith Age 76
Burial 15 April 1855
Residence - Norbrick

 Ellen Smith Age 84
Burial 13 May 1860  Bispham, Lancashire
Residence - Poulton le Fylde' crossed through and replaced with Norbreck.

Hello Kay99 thanks for your help so much. I am sure that Richard and Ellen were with his brother Thomas and sister Peggy she didn't marry. I have a death certificate of Richard Smith aged 74 Husbandman on the 29/7/1852 Butt's Hill Thornton died of consumption. Its hard to find the right one as their is so many on Lancashire Parish Registers online.

Thanks again Kay99 found Richard's burial date on Lancashire Project online but not Ellen's. Her death details were the GRO ref: 1860 J Qrter Volume 08E page 371. Can you order these records online through the GRO.

You can get the death cert on the GRO site and digital images are available to view onliine for the price of £3         

I found Ellen's burial on the Lanc Parish Clerks site as well so will look for it again

This is Ellen's burial on the Lancs Parish Clerk site - I seached Ellen Smith burial 1860 and it was the 9th result

Thanks again Kay99 for your help, I found both Richard and Ellen Smith where they were buried online, the same site, no Stone or grave markings at all, no tombstone etc. I love your cat photo.
