Guidance with Ancestral search

I'm trying to trace an ancestor with very limited information and would appreciate any help or guidance.

Here’s what I know:

Name: John skinner

Approximate birth year:1600's

Possible birthplace: Syston, Leicestershire. I am using children's baptismal info as a guide.

Religion: Anglican

Known relatives: Wife: Elizabeth, Children: Thomas91636), Mary(1637), Ann, Joseph?(1647), Mabella?(1645)

What I’m trying to find: info on John, his wife's Elizabeth's surname, confirm place of birth, marriage record, etc. I do believe Elizabeth died in 1666 according to LDS records

I know this isn’t much to go on, but I’m hoping someone might guide my search or suggest where to look next.

There is also an interesting will of Thomas Skinner in 1672

You may already have the death of John Skinner, Husbandman in 1690?

Yes, I have sourced FindMyPast, found details & attempting to verify. Perhaps overthinking.

Is it reasonable to attribute 7 children to John & Elizabeth between 1634 & 1652?
FindMyPast has a death notice for Elizabeth Skinner 1666.
By chance I found the will you mentioned, however I have not spent time to locate details or decipher.
You mention death John Skinner, Husbandman in 1690. I paused not knowing the reference Husbandman. Is an entry such as this enough evidence to add to this particular family?
 I continue to educate myself in this world of genealogy.

Hi again,

     I have a relative who died “of her fourteenth child” so not impossible. The death of Elizabeth is plausible as in John, people did live into their 80’s and 90’s, but it could be John the son. He is almost certainly, of the family.
    Will’s can be gold mines and well worth the effort deciphering, at a quick read this mentions several Skinner relatives.
     If you have difficulty with the script, you can post here for assistance, but again it is a skill well worth learning.
You also need to read each such terms as Husbandman, it helps understand social position and hence untangling families.
     You really need to build up a picture of all the Skinner families in the locality. Not just Syston. Can you find out what happened to Anne who was born in 1605.

Johis Skinner of Syston 1588 which is supposedly there but I can't get to access.
John Skiner 1631
Thomas Skinner 1672 ,John and Elizabeth's son
Robert Weldon 1678 perhaps John's  brother in law,bapt 26.7.1712 s of Thomas and Anne Weldon.
Richard Skinner 1639 Queniborrow

Some of the writings quite small but that seems to be the family

Thank you for continuing the research & conversation.
-the will: I shall find ,print ,decipher & ask for assistance.
-terms 15th & 16th century: a new focus (Husbandman now understood)
-localities: equally important. I have found many Skinners in Lincolnshire however a link if any    remains my mystery.
-Ann Skinner 1605: looking into.

A great key for anyone's research is a will, I'm guessing.
