Death Registration Sarah Forfar - died 18 June 1856 - Luton

Can anyone help with the death registration of Sarah Forfar wife of Alexander Forfar of Wellington Street, Luton.

There is a death notice in the Luton Times and Advertiser that states she died on 18th June 1856 but I can not find a corresponding death registration.

Any help gratefully received.

Maybe not, looking at the death notice I see it says "aged 34".

Were they established in Luton ie lived there a long time or could she have died away from home and be registered there?

How old would she have been in 1856?

Could she have died in Scotland, worth a check for deaths there just in case.

Thank you all for looking, it’s definitely an odd one isn’t it, at least now I know it’s not just me missing something obvious.

I actually got the birth and death certificates for Alexander who also died in 1856 in the hope of finding a clue. His father registered the birth and when he died in March 1856 Mary Ann Newland registered the death. I don’t believe she was a family member so maybe a nanny or nurse.

The husband Alexander Forfar was an “interesting” character, I did wonder if Sarah left him and he put the notice in the paper for appearance’s sake but maybe that is a bit too far fetched.

Another daughter

Christina Thomson Forfar born 1850 bap 24 February 1862 along with Mary Jane and Sarah Anne.
she married Edwin Coupees 7 August 1875

Note on GRO Index mother is listed as Leeds s/b Seeds

Robert died 1849
Alexander 1856

Question if parents Alexander and Sarah plus youngest son Alexander all died 1856 was it something contagious or perhaps water bourne illness.
