Valuation Rolls
1905   Mrs Catherine Johnstone at 38 Fairfield St Govan
1915, 1920, 1925, 1930, 1935  Mrs Catherine Johnstone at 17 Fairfield St Govan

1920, 1925, 1930, 1935, 1940  Robert McAleese 38 Fairfield St Govan

1911 census Govan  Ref - 646/2 71/ 4   Catherine Johnston seems to be alone. You would need to look at the record to see if it says she was a widow.

I believe this is them in 1901
1901 census 12 Shaw Street Govan
William Johnston 40 born Dundee Hemp dresser
Catherine Johnston 40 wife born Ireland
Robert Johnston 13 son born Ireland

This would indicate they were living together as a “married” couple from 1901.
No obvious marriage in Scotland, so again I suggest that perhaps they did not marry.

Inr, I find your posts most difficult to read and understand, because you do not use any stops, commas, capitals or logical sentence structure. They are also full of errors, which adds to my confusion. Please excuse me if I give up trying to assist.

My guess - this will be the child's birth. An illegitimate daughter of Matilda?
