Patrick Andrew Walsh 1916.

Hi,

Excuse me if there might already be a thread on this person, however I am looking to try and tackle a 2nd Great Grandfather; Patrick Andrew Walsh.

He was born on 14 August 1916 to Patrick Walsh and Esther Lawes. It seems as the address given was at 40 Malbons Street, Dublin?

He later went on to have children with Alice Leech. However I am unable to find a marriage record of this.

Having looked at the parents given, I have came to the conclusion that a marriage between Patrick Walsh and a Esther Lawless are the potential parents. This marriage took place on 28th March 1913. I am happy to stand corrected if someone believes otherwise though.

I am trying to obtain any information on them, or dating further back. I cannot make out the fathers  address on the 1913 marriage certificate between the said parents. It seems it is 27 Corporation Bridges?

Any help will be very gratefully appericated.

Thank you for informing me that it says Buildings. Is there much that I can use to find out what happened to the parents before or after this date?

From what I have found, It seems as though that Patrick Walsh and Esther had 3 other children.

It seems as though Upper Gloucester Street is a primary location for this family, as it is the same address that is on the 1913 Marriage record of where Esther Lawless is said to be living. Is there much that I can do, to search for any records or information that may hold at this address or others to trace the ancestors?

That is a great find! I wonder if this is the grandfather/Mother of Patrick Andrew Walsh? I see that on the marriage record of Patrick and Esther the witness is a Annie Dolan. Could it be that Annie was the sister to Patrick, and she married a Dolan? .
My mistake, Annie could not be the sister of Patrick snr as she is the wife of the potential grandfather called Patrick.

I believe Mary Walsh mentioned above married a Joseph Walsh in 1941. This record can be found here. https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/marriage_returns/marriages_1941/08829/5192739.pdf I believe this to be the case as again, Upper Gloucester Street is mentioned, but this time number 19 and number 27.
