US Military Record
« on: Sunday 31 August 25 09:58 BST (UK) »
Is it possible to find out the regiment and where a soldier in the US army was posted? I am looking for  locations for Ervin Bean 1909 - 1973 who signed up to the US military in 1940. I am trying to work out if he spent any time in Plymouth UK.

I would start here: https://www.birls.org/
and of course the US National Archives: https://www.archives.gov/research/military/ww2

If you know which state he was living in when he signed up lived in, there may be more records there.

Ancestry has some draft card records: Ancestry. There are also some records on FindMyPast.
Another potentially useful site: WWII Research Center
