Well, if Gabrielle was born in St Helier , you can now ask for her civil birth certificate via Jersey Heritage.

Everybody is going great guns.Lovely spot with Louise Mad's visit to England.

Charles le Roy 1902 born St Helier
Frederick Le Roy .1904 born St Helier

I want to go with Anselme and Florence as Gabrielle and Charles parents .That would make Louise , Gabrielles Aunty .It's a pain we can't see what happened to the two younger brothers.

I've finally found Gabrielle's marriage and can go and look at the certificate next week so we'll have the name of her father.

Gabrielle's school admission record names her father as Ralph. Gabrielle's marriage record names her father as Ralph.
However there is no Ralph Leroy in any Jersey Archive or in any census records

I suspect she was an illegitimate daughter of Louise Madelaine.
Next stop - birth registration.

I now have the information from the birth registrations of both Gabrielle and her brother Charles and as suspected no father is named and the mother was Louise Madeleine Le Roy.
