HMS Argus 1929

My Grandfather was serving on HMS Argus between 1927 and 1930.

On 9th Feb 1929 he lost a good conduct badge for being absent and damage to an aeroplane.

Is it likely that there is a written record anywhere of what happened? Perhaps in a ship's log book?
