marriage for Parker/ Cowen

Hi all
sorry to come back so soon, but I am looking for a marriage for a
Alexander Parker born abt 1870 Anstruther Easter, fifeshire and Agnes Martin Cowen born abt 1872 Beath,Fife Scotland I am having no luck finding when they married.

I have found on ancestry a 2 dates and places on trees
1     13 Dec 1892      Markinch, Fife
2     28 Dec 1892      Windygates Fife

 but I dont like going by trees as they are not always right, if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk is the site to use for Scottish bmd’s.. Free index but pay per view via purchase of credits to view the documents

Look at the 1893 marriage entry for Fife - Markinch - download the marriage cert to get the actual date of marriage etc

The spelling in the original is not the same as you have. This could be why you were having trouble finding it. See screenshot.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
