Lemon ERVING b1913 mississippi

parents Auther Manche ERVING
Estelle LEWIS. various spellings


died age 104 in 2018 i found his details and photo on Find A Grave  site but cant  access newspapers for an obituary

im looking for his military records too

he was married to annie mae stewart before 1940 but not with her on that census they were together in 1950
no children and from outline of her obituary i believe they didnt have any children

the daughter he left in le havre france believes he was in the navy .

any help finding more will be appreciated

Isn't this Lemon with wife Annie in 1940?

i had a different census for his wife
i cant find this one on ancestry

am having difficulty viewing original ..does it give his occupation ?

i had found the draft card but it doesnt say navy
le havre is a port town so navy is logical

I think it says "works at saw" in a Planer Mill. Not sure about the Mill, but almost everyone on the page works there in different jobs.

thanks the draft card days he works at Vaider Carol which could be the name of tbe mill

the find a grave site did have an obituary attached but didnt mention his military vareer or occupation
he was cared for by a neice Bessie  LOVE

Oh, sorry about that. If it helps, he is transcribed originally as Lenon CEVIN, though this has a user correction to Lemon ERVIN.

Vaiden is a town in Carroll County.  :D See the 1940 census.
