I’m trying to find evidence of the marriage of Elizabeth and William Watson Munro.
According to an entry in Family search it took place in London in 1872. But I can’t corroborate this. I’ve tried looking at Free BMD but not sure where else to look.

I know that Elizabeth was born in Kintore in Scotland in 1848. Her parents were James E. Park and Mary Snowie. I don’t know anything about her husband except he may have died in New Zealand in 1918.

Her younger brother Prof. James L Park moved to London in the 1872 to study at the Royal School of Mines and in his Wikipedia entry it says he emigrated to New Zealand in 1875 with his sister.
There’s a lot written about James once he gets to New Zealand but I can’t find any trace of how he and his sister and possibly brother-in-law got there. I’ve tried the New Zealand passenger lists but the only 2 James Parkes I’ve found don’t match my relative. There’s nothing for Elizabeth or William.
I’m conducting my research from Scotland.

Thanks for that. I have found a John Watson Munro born in Scotland in 1842. Father is Andrew and mother’s maiden name is Watson. Still no luck with passenger lists though. Still some digging to do. Looks as though I need to figure out the New Zealand archives.

That’s her.
And her husband being in the Seaforth Highlanders is something I didn’t know.

Thanks so much.
