Have you looked for her on the 1921 census to establish her parents names?  Entry is easily found

Have you looked on freebmd for a Knight /Priddis marriage?

You can download a digital copy of her birth cert for £3

Did you use GRO online to look for other Knight births with mmn Priddis?  There is one in 1910 so you could check the 1911 census where the entry is easily found with parents

Hi Carole
thanks very much for your very prompt reply.   Yes I saw the other birth on GRO.   I have also checked free bmd for a marriage with no luck at all.    I don't have access to the census forums at all.    I believe he died in WW1 which I need his first names to research

Given censuses suggest the mother Maud was born in Gibraltar, is it possible they married overseas?

You don't need a forum to access the censuses.  All English & Welsh censuses 1841 to 1911 are free on Family Search
