theft of Nectar points
« on: Yesterday at 13:18 »
I know this isn't genealogy-related, but who wants to have to sort out stolen Nectar points when you could be doing a bit of FH research!

There's a spate of theft of Nectar points - mine all went the other day, even though I still had my card.  Sainsbury's set up a new account and refunded all my lost points.  But it was a nuisance.

There's a new bit of functionality on your Nectar account where you can "lock" the points making them unuseable, until you unlock it again.

That’s good to know KN, I’ll do that.
I had all my points nicked a few years ago, perpetrator spent them in Argos down south.
Had somehow scammed my details online.
Nectar replaced them all thankfully as I had a lot.
The family save them all year for the Christmas food shop.
Thanks for the tip.

The same thing happened to me back in January. Nectar were very helpful and I've kept my points locked since. You just have to remember to unlock them before you start shopping if you want to spend them rather than waiting til checkout.
