McLernon
« on: Monday 11 August 25 18:31 BST (UK) »
Hi trying to find out what happened to a Denis McLernon birth date abt 1862 I have his marriage in 16th july 1894 to Mary Jane Sands or Sandys then birth of daughters Elizabeth/lizzie (1894) Margaret/maggie 1897 and Bridget 1911 (also died in 1911). The family are in the 1901 and 1911 census records all this is in Tyrone , Cookstown/Coagh i believe and i have all the records mentioned including the death of his wife Mary Jane in dec 1914 in Cookstown also his daughter Elizabeth's marriage to a Joseph Heron in june 1914 then nothing for the family after this. In 1911 census there is a grandson named Patrick Phelan aged 3 and the possibilty that he may have emigrated in 1926 (canadian shipping list found for him and his family) but i cant trace who young Patricks mother is to verify, i have struggled with the NIdirect site its so cumbersome it never even revealed the death of Mary Jane (who is the main line i am related to) and yet it is on the Irish Genealogy site in full so any help to move forward on the life and death of Denis would be appriceated. I have attached a brief list of certs found hope they are ledgible. Garngad

Denis McLernon was still alive to report his wife's death in 1914.

His wife died relatively young and Denis could have lived to the 1950s possibly.

He may be hiding in plain sight via a mistranscription of his name/s both fore- and surname.

Don't agree…it's easy to navigate.
Here's Mary Jane's death record in the GRONI index-

GRONI Online   https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk/
D/1914/98/1009/9/256   Mary McLernon   3rd December 1914   48      Female     Cookstown

No sign of a Denis McLernon death on GRONI up to and including today's date, 1975.

Aye aghadowey that is him his daughter Elizabeth was the informant many thanks again for the info surprising for the cost of viewing that they dont allow copy or screen shots but eh ho, regards me not having much luck the other day searching the site maybe there was problems on my side/pc or the site itself. Curious to know from the 1911 census was a grandson Patrick Phelan which im sure emmigrated to Canada in 1926 his parents where James Phelan and Mary Wright looking at their marriage i can see one name that connects both marriages theirs and Denis McLernon/Mary Jane Sands and it is a John Mallon plus from 1894 there is Sarah Sands/Sandys and from the 1908 marriage there is Ellen McLernon any thoughts would be gratefully recieved.
