Sorry to hear Gillg you are unwell, plenty of water with coffee as was mentioned this week, it is absolutely  sweltering  here, Reg  30 in the lounge, the fan must go on soon.

I never seem to finish washing,  a friend of mine is in a retirement  home and she is allowed only 3 washes per week, that was because some residents were  abusing the situation,  wouldn't work for me.

Viktoria,  Saturday I was very fortunate , having  fallen it seems a hoard of kind people came forward and packed up the white elephant for me,  I could not have done it myself, now we have to get back to sort out what we don't want for the next  fete or whatever it will be called, I was very thankful for the extra help. Our local charity shops don't seem to rake anything at the moment,  one shop took 1 box, another 2 none and yesterday I found one who took the rest of the boxes I had in my car since Saturday,  surprised my husband was so good natured about it..

Although I am thankful I have no bones broken or fractures I seem to be in a lot of pain, it will subside at sometime I hope, other than that I am melting in this weather like a lot of others.

Keep cool folks and gillg  please take care.

Yes LM, some are very picky. I had a two drawer filing cabinet in good condition and which I need to shift so that I can get to some shelves of books and paperwork.
I took a photo of it and took this to the local CS.
"Oh yes that looks very nice. When can we pick it up?"
So the arrangements were made and in due course they came to collect, only to tell me
"These don't sell very well. We already have two others similar in the shop for months. Sorry we can't take it!"
I did manage, quite quickly, to get someone to take it so no long term "suffering!"

There's nothing wrong with being mediocre...as long as you're good at it!

So glad no broken bones LM.
OurB,H.F.charity shop is selling everything half price at the moment to clear stock.

Well tomorrow it will be72 years since my late husband and I first went out on our first date.A beautiful Summer evening so we walked home from the cinema.
He was so courteous and intelligent  I was truly impressed.
Was quite astonished that he was 22 as I was 16, but he looked about 18 and was so quiet ,shy and polite.
I never lost my respect for that and just him being himself .
We married three years later and I was very lucky .

Got my specs back from Opticians, wrong prescription so new lens and they seem O.K.Second mistake in their part.Bifocals too high on previous lens.

Son away to Head Office ,back tomorrow, so took a taxi.
A lovely afternoon,not oppressively hot.

Loads of washing all dry .Beds changed and ironing tomorrow whilst watching something on T.V.

Letter from Consultant re pacemaker and a request for another iron infusion .
I am being well looked after and feel very lucky.

Look after yourselves folks thanks for the news and good wishes.
Hope Gillig soon picks up .
Viktoria.
Hope Erato is O.K.We have crossed swords a few times but they are very intelligent and you wonder if all is O.K when no,posts for a while.V.

Gillg, could it be Covid? I think flu is pretty well unheard of in Britain in the summer but the nasty C virus lurks around all year. I caught it last August when I went to London. Hope you soon feel better whatever it is.

Lovely romantic memories for you Viktoria  :)
