Help understanding birth information
« on: Sunday 10 August 25 19:30 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Can anyone help me please.

I have a birth record from Ireland 1870. What does dwelling place of father mean?

Does it mean that's where he is at the time of the birth? or
That's the fathers birth place?

Thanks Sam

That's where he was currently living:
New Orleans, United States of America

Researching: Cuthbertson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Australia; Hunter – Co. Derry; Jackson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Canada; Scott – Co. Derry; Neilly – Co. Antrim & USA; McCurdy – Co. Antrim; Nixon – Co. Cavan, Co. Donegal, Canada & USA; Ryan & Noble – Co. Sligo

Sam,
This was mentioned the other day I think.
Just to say, your query could have been asked there with no need to start a new thread.
We are so enthusiastic on here that other family information could be posted when you already have it.
You will soon get used to our ways.  😉
