John THOMSON from Manchester late 18th century

Hi,
I have John THOMSON , 22 in 1812 , son of Edward THOMSON and Mary HOWARD, he was made prisonner during the napoleonic wars. He married in Bitche (Moselle) were he was staying.
Is it possible to find more infos on his ancestors?

Where are you getting your information from?

Marriage between Edward Thomson to Mary Howard  not found so far.

No birth/baptism record for a son John on Lancs OPC

Thanks for your replies .The information  comes from his marriage certificate in France.

Were they perhaps Catholic?

Lancashire on line Parish Clerk  abbreviated to Lancs OPC  has a great many Lancashire Records

very few Catholic records are on line.

I can't say if he was a catholic , french registers don't mention the religion after 1790.

Added: he is said to be an english sailor made prisonner and sent in Bitche.
