Hi Keith,

Sorry but two of the Probate records I posted above may not be connected to ‘your’ OSBORN line.
Alfred of 17 Wyecliff Road, Handsworth and his widow Fanny May of 4 Park Avenue, Handsworth.

Although I had their Probates on file, I missed seeing my own note that reads;
This Alfred OSBORNE is NOT the son of Joseph b.1843. However, he may prove to be connected to that family somewhere.

That’s what happens doing things fast, late at night. Hopefully it removes the problem you mentioned with Helen’s Probate.

Hi Keith,

I’ve gone as far as time permits with your OSBORN(E) family tree.

Although we are all used to name spelling variants, your ancestor went one step further.
William b.1820 was raised as an OSBORN(E) However, he registered his own first ten children as OSWIN. Then reverted to OSBORN(E) for the final two children. The OSWIN name was subsequently dropped.

As promised, I’ll email you the Excel file with the complete tree on.
