Mary Bartholomay of Bolton?

Hi all, I am again coming for pointers about my elusive ggf's even more elusive ancestry ;)
I have come to a brick wall trying to find anything about my 5x ggm, Mary Bartholomay. I only have her marriage to Jonathan Hurst (1786-1850) in Leigh, Lancashire, England, on 19 Aug 1807 (FHL 1885651 p112) and the fact that she had a daughter, Mary Hurst (b. 24 Sep 1820 Deane, Lancashire, England-Dec 1861).
I would love to find out who her parents and further relatives were, I was intrigued by her maiden name :)

1841 census for Bolton shows her as not born in county ie not b Lancashire

Thomas Hurst 39  Bleacher
Mary Hurst 15 grand daughter
John G ?   34 son in law    (transcribed as Grund-ancestry)

Margaret possibly married John Gerrard at Tyldesley 8 miles from Little Bolton on  16 February 1841

Wondering about this person - Whiston and Wigton aren't that dissimilar

Wigton was in Harewood parish where the baptism registers do not seem to contain any Bart* surnames.

What is your source?
FindMyPast for Whiston has one Bartlemew 1783 without any forenames, plus two children of Jonas and Hannah: Grace 1780 and Rebecka 1789.  1787 fits in a gap.

Added: Whiston is much closer to Sheffield.
