Burbidge family

Is anyone researching the Burbidge family tree with links to Nottingham, Leicester or Norwich 1900-1930.
My maternal grandmother, Lucy Ives gave birth to a girl in 1925 in Leicester and named her Iris Betty Burbidge Ives. Iris sadly died a year later, and the person notifying the death was W. Burbidge.
Any information that could help me identify W. Burbidge would be very much appreciated.

I was going to ask the same, but for the informant.

Iris was buried at Gilroes Cemetery on 15 Apr 1926, Grave F432.  Her address was 2 Rollestone Street.

I've checked but the only other person in that grave was another infant in 1906 with no obvious connection.  Also no Burbidge's in the surrounding graves.

Yes Lucy Ives is my grandma - Iris' mum
 The birth at Leicester City Maternity Home was registered by Lucy. Iris was said to be living at 2 Rollestone Street Leicester at the time of her death, though Lucy was living in Norwich.  The information about the burial is new, thank you.
At the time of Iris' birth at the City maternity home, Leicester, Lucy had a home address in Norwich (probably with her parents Frederick and Alice). I always assumed she'd been 'sent away' to have the baby, but with the Burbidge connection at both the birth and death of Iris, I'm not so sure now. In the 1921 Census, Lucy was living in Nottingham and working at Boots head office, but on Iris's death certificate Lucy is said to be a Lady's Companion.
I'm fairly sure W. Burbidge will be another mystery in my family tree, (one which my Mum, at 91, would love to have solved) but thanks for taking time to look it is much appreciated.

If the events were at the hospital, it would usually/often (not sure if it was always) be an employee of the hospital who was the informant.

You should look closely at the details of the informant on the death certificate. How did they qualify to register the death ? And most importantly it will give the address of the informant on the date of registration.

Hospital staff could/can register a death in certain circumstances, but it would be only (usually) if there was no better qualified informant available, and the qualification given would normally reflect that.

The informant of the death states it was "W. Burbidge, causing the body to be buried, of 2 Rolleston Street, Leicester" the cause of death was given as "Convulsions. No P.M. certified by Alwyn H Bradley M.B.
