The remarriage is interesting. Fanny would have been only  around 50 and several children to care for.

1901 census for Fanny Fletcher, daughter Annie M Bassett also in household.

Joseph’s birth address in 1871 was 28, Francis Street, Aston. Father George was a gardener. Struggling to find this address in 1871 census. His dob 24th November 1871. He appears in 1939 war register with this dob.

Birthyear a bit out but the only birth for a Fanny/Frances Hughes is this one

George Bassett says he was b Claybrook(e) Leics which came under the Lutterworth RD but no obvious birth reg
