If they followed naming patterns his father was William (first son named after paternal grandfather)
and his mother Sarah - second daughter named after paternal grandmother.

The first daughter Elizabeth being named for her maternal grandmother.

Elizabeth Rowland servant age 27 married Charles Woodley 7 November 1841 at Radley
Her father John Rowland
His father James Woodley
She died 1842 age 26 ? reg. Abingdon Union -probably after giving birth to son George.

Charles Woodley then marries Hannah Brown 1844 reg. Abingdon

Have you found John as a witness to any other marriages.

In case you don't have his son John 1826 was buried age 10 months in 1827 at Stanford in the Vale.

Still a mystery of when & who John married.

The only possible marriage I have found is for John Rowland, widower of Newnham to Mary Platt 17-6-1811 in Nately Hants by Licence.

This parish is some distance from Buckland and Stanford in the Vale.
