Army births, Overseas.
« on: Saturday 02 August 25 19:32 BST (UK) »
I should know this !

I have a family ( Irish) who served in India from 1914, until c1934.
I have just found two daughters, living with them in 1939.
Where will I find there birth registration?

I have done this in the past, but can’t remember where—-Old age!

If you have a subscription, you can use the FindMyPast catalogue British Armed Forces and Overseas Births and Baptisms which will give the reference(s) to the GRO Overseas Births Register

Alternatively, if you live near one of these libraries:

The Library of Birmingham
Bridgend Local and Family History Centre
City of Westminster Archives Centre
Manchester Central Library
Newcastle City Library
Plymouth Central Library and
The British Library

you can consult the GRO microfiche to get the relevant reference. The GRO do not provide online search facilities for this Register.

Thank you, Andy.

I do have a subscription to Findmypast.
Just need to prove these girls are daughters of the family
