Armorial cup and saucer

Hi guys, I recently acquired this Chinese export cup and saucer in the UK which I believe is mid to late 18th c that has a dual coat of arms. I think this would have been commissioned to celebrate an event involving two families like a wedding. I was wondering if anyone would be able to identify the two families or give me some points on how I would go about identifying them for myself as I haven't had any luck so far. Thanks, John

Hello John,
Chinese heraldic porcelain is notorious for being bad heraldry and inaccurate. One clear thing is that the coronet is that of a marquis. That narrows down the field.

This might take some time.

Thanks for your response, interesting that the coronet is that of a Marquis, and yes I've heard of how inaccurate the Western commissions decorated in China can be! Fingers crossed this one wasn't too far off the mark.
