Hi,

I think his cap and collar badges belong to United Dairies.

Was this delivery done on horseback?

He certainly looks young for a 14 year old lad.

The ones in the middle look like either:-

(a) watch chain fobs sold by various organisations to members or as souvenirs at exhibitions, concerts, other events, or at tourist locations, or

(b) genuine medals won at sports competitions or for achievement at school. The ones in the middle and to its upper left could depict footballs.

Such things are now collectors' items and regularly appear on auction sites. It might just be possible to identify the clearer ones. Knowing the area the lad came from could offer clues.
Researching Penge, Anerley, (including the Crystal Palace) and neighbouring parts of Beckenham, currently in London (Bromley), formerly Surrey and/or Kent.

A relative worked for United Dairies and I seem to remember he mentioned they had a football competitions and awarded medals. The boy does seem to have a lot though:)

Thank you so much everyone.
I didn't expect such rapid replies!
The boy lived and worked in SE London. The photo must have been taken in a studio and the back is printed as a postcard with the studio's address as 43 New Kent Road SE1.

Chris that's really helpful and what you say makes sense.
Do you know which auction sites feature such items?
I'm thinking I'd like to look and see how similar they are. .
Thank you all again.
