Morecraft & variants wasn't a common name in Kent at that time.

There is a George Morecroft, an ostler, living with his wife Elizabeth in St Lawrence, Thanet (Ramsgate) in 1851.

An Ancestry tree has this George being born to William & Susanah in Cubley, Derbyshire  He had a brother, Thomas, baptised 2 Mar 1801 but no further details for him.

I don't think the Dover couple are the same family. They had a son baptised in Knightsbridge in 1837 and had married in St George's Hanover Square in 1829. In 1841 they are in Ramsgate with 3 sons and 1 daughter all born outside of Kent
