Looking for information on a couple. Mullin / Dyer

Hello,

I am looking for more information on a Jennie Dyer married a George Mullin in June of 1887, in Chicago, Illinois. I haven't found any other information of this couple.

I suspect Jennie may be the same as my second great grandmother's sister Mary Jane Dyer born circa 1865/67 in Port Dalhousie, Ontario. She also went by Jennie. Her mother Mary McDonald Dyer died in September of 1887 and she was listed as a witness in the coroners report and their address was 2510 Butterfield.

This gives George Mullin as being born about 1859 and Jennie Dyer born about 1866.  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N76M-DXB?lang=en  The record is viewable at a Family Search Center or affiliated library, but I don't know if it will give you that much more information.

This article mentions this couple getting a marriage license.  https://www.newspapers.com/article/chicago-tribune-harry-a-cox-to-marry-ka/146039735/  It says if no other residence is given, then they were living in Chicago.

There is a Jennie Mullin, age 22, who died in Chicago on 15 Oct. 1893.

I'm not sure if that's her, but it's a possibility.

One thing that seems suspicious to me is that the record about her mother's death is from September 1887 and lists her as Jennie Dyer, rather than Mullin, which you would expect if she was married in June 1887.  Could have just been a mistake, but it's possible that it wasn't her who married to George Mullin.
