Hi,
I have discover that if you have Microsoft Excel, you can cut and paste the matches, it is a bit clunky, but does work.

Hi,
Thank you David for the Microsoft Excel idea.  It would work . I used to have Microsoft but about 7 yrs ago I swapped to Linux.  They also have a similar program which should do the same.  hoopefuly.

Let you know the outcomes.

In the mean time I googled for the Mission near to where this was partly connected.
 Found some very interesting documents.
The the person in charge there was Rev. William Watson.
Someone has written a thesis on this. It's got an amazing amount of information and reference documents for the Church back in England.  There is also All the Reverend's daily diaries for several years.  I have read just a few and it's so sad in every way possible.
He was quite an interesting man. He learned the language of the native  people there and could converse with them in their language.
Still looking to see if there were any records kept on the families of those indigenous peoples.

Essnell.

Hi  everyone. Not making much progress on this line but I do have a few clues to follow - so back to the DNA match list to see if there are any links or possibilities there.
Still chasing the missing brother as well.
  one day...... ahah!

still hunting

Hi . .....

David -  i managed o get this all done as you suggested Just need to hand fill the squares.  . I have the same issue with copying clusters too. names and squares but no colour.  at least that's easier.

Biggles and Co:

Today I went back to the clusters and the members of the 7x7 set.  There is one individual there with a reasonably useful tree attached to their DNA.  The grandfather has been named along with the previous 2 generations.  But there are no children from either .   so  decided to look into this .

Given that we believe the missing Grandfather was born C 1922 I wanted to find siblings born around that time that belonged in this tree. I  had seen one that I thought was a possible but not so.
So on the NSW Data Base for BMD etc I hunted down siblings of this person.    Yes I found 6 including the known one.  I have no DNA for any of these individuals.

Now that was fine. The specific Registration Numbers were shown as were the parents and where the children were born.  But the only one whose Certificate I could acquire was the one child I already knew about.   The others are all unavailable.

I am wondering Why.      but interestingly there are 4 females and two males.  so I am now down to one who just might be our quarry.  Born 1903 makes him 19 in 1922. and his first name is Frederick.    Easy to get Frank from that.

The big issue now is that there is nothing else in the records for New South Wales or Victoria relating to this person.

Where to from here I have no idea.  Tomorrow I intend re evaluating the other 6.

For the suspect, have you built a tree from him to the present generation?

I would do this for each one who becomes a suspect.

Finding the descendants of culprits on social media as well as their location does then give the opportunity to make contact.  If successful one could then ask if they would be willing to take a DNA test.

This is how I found my Half Sister, I had three possible parental lines and choose hers as the first point of contact.

Hi,

Glad to hear, I had a similar issue when I tried Libre Office on the PC, obviously all cut and paste is not alike.
Still, it sounds like you are making solid progress.

Hi David and Biggles50

Yes i think I am  and thanks for the cut and paste idea.  Color printing might be better on a different printer.

Biggles I do have a tree for this person to the present but only through his parents and to then to this 7x7 cluster.

that said they should all also if related go back to this family at some point.

As you say ...more tree building.  There are four sisters to also try to trace.. that's going to be difficult if possible.
First I need the certificate for his birth.
thanks both of you.

Hi  busy morning hunting yet again..... everyone.
One of the first things was a personal message.    Late last night I put up a question on the Australia  section here.  All I asked was : "What happened to  this suspect person -  Frederick Murray."
He is one of the 6 individuals I mentioned in the last post.  I was hoping that someone might just be looking like me.  So the personal message was in answer to that form another Roots-chatter.   that has led to a contact on another forum site which i very seldom use. the Roots-chatter is helping me with that.

I also got a couple of responses on the thread which had me off searching.  Putting this information into a search on here i now have two new trees to look into and people to contact

From there I was able to find his marriage in 1926 but he had added another first name . I also found his death in 1939 and I have two Ancestry trees to check through for links back to his parents before I am convinced.  I also would like to join up the 7x7 cluster better than it is.   That is a task that will take a bit of time as they are all so different.

After seaching for a few hours earlier today I was looking blankly at this person's name and it struck me  as
Oh!  AhAh!!  that's on this Marriage Cert we have!!     Yes,  but different last name but it's a new clue.
It is so tempting to say  - yeah I know -  but I have to be certain and the evidence has to be convincing.

I need a cuppa - probably something stronger would be good but a cuppa will do fine.

hi again    For the record Frederick Murray happens to be the brother of Sidney John Murray and they have the same parents who should  also link to three of the 7x7 . I know at least one does.

I have two more anccestry links to chceck out   if ... well we shall see.
