Cecil MARSHALSEA WW1 1921
« on: Thursday 24 July 25 20:47 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help?
CECIL  MARSHALSEA died on 4 Feb 1921 after serving with the Machine Gun Corps.  His death was registered at Taunton Deane, Somerset.
Cecil was the son of Theophilus and Elizabeth Marshalsea. At the 1911 Census the family were recorded at Taunton St James; Cecil also had a sister Gertrude.
Both of Cecil's parents are buried at St Mary's Old Cemetery in Taunton but, surprisingly, there is no trace of Cecil in the burial records for that cemetery.
Cecil Marshalsea died as a result of disease contracted in the service of his country. He is entitled to have his resting place designated as a War Grave  - if proof of burial can be established.
Can anyone offer any information re his place of burial?  Copy of the Burial Register is the definitive proof but any leads eg death or obituary notices, would be invaluable.
I would be grateful for any shreds of evidence.

It is great to see these men acknowledged and honoured after so much time has elapsed.
