The only appearance of Mary/May Hayes in Seacombe 1921 census
« on: Thursday 24 July 25 14:17 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have a May/Mary Hayes aged 10 and 11 months on the 1921 census with a William Hayes in Seacombe, listed as a daughter. However, I can't find a birth for her, her on the 1911 census or after 1921. She appears and then disappears. What am I missing - why can't I find anything more for her?

Thanks for any pointers as she is a bit of a mystery!

Could she be a child of one of the daughters, there are a few to choose between.  :)

That is great info to have, thank you very much amongdg.

Looking for a possible baptism there is one on familysearch, no father named, but it is for 1915 in Woodchurch, Wirral.....so not sure about this.

And I just realised that she should be on the 1911, she is not with the family, so would she be fostered/in a children's home?
