Kings own Scottish boarders in India
« on: Tuesday 22 July 25 20:43 BST (UK) »
My father Ralph H Pyle was in India up the khyber pass between 1945-1948. He was in the King's Own Scottish Borderers Animal transport devision.
He played hockey for the battalion against the Indians.
It's a long shot but does anyone have any pictures or information or is related to anyone who served in the same battalion.

I think you'll find he was in the King's Own Scottish Borderers? ;)

Try the Regimental website: https://kosb.co.uk/

Your father will have been serving with the 2nd Battalion KOSB, which was disbanded at Berwick-on-Tweed on 30 June 1948 following its return to the UK.
