David Blair Wilson was at the Royal Oak in 1878, according to a newspaper article when his coals were stolen

he took on the licence of the Bridge Inn in 1880

Re. 1871 census.  Lodging house keeper,  could have gone on to be a publican.
I can't find anything more so am settling for that.

Just an observation  - in 1881, David is a ‘Bar Man’ and his brother is the ‘Inn Keeper’.

To note, the licensee of the Walnut Tree Inn before David was a William Wilson who died in 1884 aged 6. He'd previously been the manager of Wrexham Colliery.

this leads me to him on 1871, at Sunny Bank, Rhosddu. Born Perth

Might be a complete coincidence that two Scottish people called Wilson ran that pub in succession
