John Taylor
Death Age   52
Registration Quarter   Jan-Feb-Mar 1938
Registration District   Maidstone
Inferred County   Kent
Volume   2a
Page   1447

FreeBMD show Taylor/McGrath children born in Maidstone

Free to search 1921 can’t post full details you need a subscription to view, if this is them a marriage before 1915

John 1886 Maidstone, Kent
Molly 1890 Tipperary
J  1915 Maidstone - edit as not established death
M 1919 Maidstone.           ditto

1911 there is this John Taylor

John Taylor  1887 Maidstone, Kent parents Alexander and Alice Rose, has 5 siblings
you would need his m/c to confirm fathers name

Posting whilst red writing  :)

1915 birth shows birthplace as Kent & is male

There is no matching Taylor/McGrath birth on freebmd 1914-1916 for him

I am wondering whether they did actually marry or if Molly was previously married

Mollies parents were James McGrath and Catherine Duggan.

Do you have her birth certificate with the exact date of birth?

Did Jack & Mollie have 3 children and do you have any of their birth certificates to confirm their father's occupation?

Added - see reply 10

This is the link to the possible 1911 census entry JOHN Taylor, parents Alexander & Alice Rose

carol46 - When your next back online please can you confirm that the Mollie Roffey/Taylor born 23 Jun 1890 from 1939 register is your Mollie.

I can find no Mollie McGrath birth 1890 Tipperary with parents named James & Catherine DUGGAN ??? Can you confirm where you found this information please?

The only birth I can find is for a Mary McGrath born 23 Jun 1889 parents
James McGrath, labourer mother Bridget nee MARA
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/birth_returns/births_1889/02463/1914844.pdf

James & Bridget married 1886

John Mcgrath 32, labourer married Bridget MARA 23, 17th January 1886 Tipperary,
his father Patrick (alive) her father James (deceased)
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/marriage_returns/marriages_1886/10829/5949945.pdf

Do you have the ROFFEY marriage certificate to confirm Mollie's fathers name and occupation?

Mollie in Irish is Máire. The meaning of Máire is Diminutive for Mary.

Jack is a given name of English origin, originally a diminutive of John.
Alternatively it may commonly be a diminutive of Jacob
