Many thanks Boo for your reply and the link  ;D

Never seen that website before, so I have bookmarked it just in case I need it for another ancestor at a later date  ;)

The entry also confirms she was reunited with her husband too, something I was not aware of.

I checked that date for the newspaper entry as its unlikely to have been published the day 'before' she died and it was published 10th June

Anc* are giving this hint that relates to the death you mention. So may apply to your lady, worth checking out. The name given is Jana, but could well be mistranscription.

If I have the crematorium name then a web search for the name plus online book of remembrance will often bring up that particular book.

I meant to look for a notice of death for William but got side tracked, so have now found one
https://www.newspapers.com/article/leicester-mercury-wh-giles/177066568/

and though the B-O-R 'says' he died 21 April 1974, the newspaper says 25th April.

I tried a free search on Deceased Online (which has cremation registers for Gilroes)  and the index result also says he died 25th April 1974 and was cremated 1st May

So either whoever paid for the entry gave the wrong date or the B-O-R scribe entered it incorrectly and no one in the family noticed.

Sorry for putting the wrong newspaper date I must have been reading with tired eyes.

Thank you for correcting it Boo, also thanks for the website I don't think I've seen that before.
