I am trying to find the death certificate for the George Deaves featured on the attached gravestone

George Deaves
Died May 24th 1872/1873?
Aged 38

I’ve been on the gov website to order an electric image of his death certificate but the only George Deaves that I can find is

George Deaves
Died 9th Jan 1870
Aged 58

Is anyone able to find the 38 year old George that’s on the gravestone?

Images attached

Thank you

Antony Deaves

It is there, but registered at Atcham, not Shrewsbury as in the 1870 record.

On FreeBMD there is a death record for a George Deaves Jun qtr 1873 Age 39 registered Atcham.

See if you can find that on GRO.

Would that suggest his remains are in atcham and not longden road cemetery?

Shrewsbury Registration District was:
Created 1837
Abolished 1871, and added to Atcham RD
Re-created in 1935, from Atcham, Church Stretton, Madeley and Ellesmere RDs
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Hi
It looks like he was buried in Longden Road because he wanted to be in the family grave with his father and sister.

In England the death has to be registered in the registration district in which the death took place however there is no requirement to be buried in the same place.  You would need to look at the burial register for the Longden Road cemetery.
