I'd hoped for great things from this, having read about it .... but there seemed to be the usual superabundance of long shots of presenter  strolling meaningfully, tossing hair, and a lot of it was very thinly spread - a shorter programme, and a voice-over, would have done more for the (very few, and mostly replica?) specimens, perhaps?

I agree. I kept saying "get on with it" or "show us some evidence. " I did learn a bit and when the Moroccan discoveries were being discussed I got into considering allocation speciation,  genetic drift and Founder effect, all of which she had time to explore.
I now want to read more about the early H. sapiens and the modern interpretation of the research.  In that respect the programme has done its job.

Watched the first episode yesterday. I found it tedious and irritating.
