In the '29 Court appearance the husband of his landlady accused George of having over £2,000 - he had been reading his letters!

Possible probate, did he set up home with Kathleen?

There is a notice in the Western Mail, 25th April 1939, relating to George’s will, in which Kathleen’s address is given as Clarence Hotel, Maesteg. She is there in the 1939 register, occupation Licensed Victualler.

Might be interesting to download a copy of his will to see who he left his money to

If you have access to newspaper articles (British Newspaper Archive.FindMyPast) you might want to check out the Court appearances of a "George Trickett, Abergwynfi". At his first appearance in 1929 his age is given as 70 (born c. 1859). Abergwynfi falls in the Neath Registration district.
