Death of Samuel George Trickett
« on: Wednesday 16 July 25 11:34 BST (UK) »
I cannot find the death of Samuel George Trickett.  Father George Trickett, mother Eliza Trickett formerly Coulson.
Born 7 May 1858 in Pickles Yard, Bramley Yorkshire.
He married Alice Jane Puttock on 18 Oct 1884 in Battersea.
They had 6 children.
Samuel was a Carpenter but also was a Publican for a short time.  The family moved back to Yorkshire following their marriage.
In 1901 they family are at 9 Leavesden Road, Hertfordshire, occ Carpenter.
In 1911 Alice is living at 1 Rutland Court London she is living on Private means and is widowed.  Her daughter May Trickett is also living with her and they have two Servants.  On this census she states she only has 1 child.
Alice dies on 30 May 1917 at St Lukes House, Pembridge Square, Widow of Samuel George Trickett a Carpenter. Daughter F Bransgrove is in attendance.
I have checked the burial details and Samuel is not buried with her.
I am thinking that they separated but have no conclusive evidence.  I have gone through the GRO from 1901 to 1921 but have not found an entry that matches age etc.  I have also checked 1911 census and 1921 census to no avail.
I have also checked newspapers for both Samuel and Alice, again nothing.
I have also gone through each child's details to see if he was staying with them at any stage but again nothing.
Thank you in advance

I wonder why she only mentions 1 child?  Counted the 1 that was living with her perhaps.

Have you marriages for the other children?  Where are they in 1911 in case with father.

I have just gone back through children and interestingly two of the children Alice Eliza Trickett born 1891 and her brother Ernest Bertie Trickett  born 1895 are not married and I cannot find either in the 1911 census.  Ernest would only have been about 16-17 in 1911.  Alive Eliza marries in 1915 in London.  Ernest married in 1920 in London.
I will have a go at finding them in 1911.  So far I cannot find them.

Hi
On children's marriages what name do they give for their father, only checked one and she states George.

Assuming he went by the name George (not Samuel) could this be his death on FBMD

June Q 1939 Neath George S Trickett aged 80 so born apt 1859.

Long Shot but worth looking at.

If you have access to newspaper articles (British Newspaper Archive.FindMyPast) you might want to check out the Court appearances of a "George Trickett, Abergwynfi". At his first appearance in 1929 his age is given as 70 (born c. 1859). Abergwynfi falls in the Neath Registration district.
