Seeking info on Theunissen, Fick, Bobbins, and Stranack families — Caledon & Pri

Hi everyone,

I’m researching my South African family roots and hoping to connect with anyone who may have knowledge or connections to the following families in the Western Cape:
   •   Anna Wilhelmina Theunissen (married Lambert Hendrik Fick – they had 14 children)
   •   Florence May Bobbins (my great-grandmother)
   •   Patricia Cynthia Jane Helena Theresa Stranack (née Hickey) – lived in Rhodesia, later in Hermanus
   •   Stranack and Metcalf family names also feature prominently

These families lived in or around Caledon, Prince Albert, and the Swartberg region. I’m particularly interested in any records, photos, or descendants still in the area — or even just pointers on where to search locally.

My father was Barry Brian Frederick Stranack (b. 1945, Durban), and his mother was Patricia Hickey. I’m based in the UK now but feeling a strong ancestral pull back to this land and would love to trace any living relatives or learn more about these family lines.

This post is already becoming rather confusing. Unfortunately the OP has too many names listed within the one post, a lot of generic wants, but barely any background information. I have therefor no idea what you already know or don’t know.  However, here is an attempt for one person:

I suspect that Patricia could be the daughter of Charles John Hickey (b abt 1864, possibly died between 1921 and 1942) and Daisy Gardner (b abt 1893, died 1958)
