DNA matches high but no clue where we connect possible NPE
« on: Thursday 03 July 25 19:20 BST (UK) »
Hi all,
I manage my half brother, full brother , half niece , 2nd cousins DNA kits aswell as my own..

i would like to have help in trying to fit where match A belongs please. i have pro tools, and no the clusters i do have but non available as yet

my brothers and niece all share DNA match A
me 110cm 6 segs.
half Bro 55cm 4 segs,
full bro 46cm 6 segs
half niece 34cm 3 segs

DNA match A matches DNA B at 106cm 7segs

DNA B Matches
Me 30cm 3 segs
half bro 33cm 3 segs
full bro 62cm 7segs
half niece 60cm 5 segs

DNA B matches DNA C at 37CM 3segs

DNA match C to us
me 12cm 2 segs
half bro 29 cm 1 seg
full bro 34cm 3 segs
Half niece doesnt match C

now i can place all 3 together in their tree.
common ancestor is DNA  match A is their 2ND Gt grandparents. Goes Mum, M Grand mum, M gt grandpa
DNA match B goes like this Mum, M Grandmum, then common ancestor to DNA match A
DNA match c goes like this mum, grandmum, mgrandpa, to common ancestor with DNA match B 's grandmum - half siblings grandmum married twice. but same mum

now on shared matches of my brothers and i DNA match A doesnt share with match C - but i have come across this before with other matches - they do match but not shown in our shared matches

now non of these 3 matches share with my 2nd cousin on my dads paternal (welsh) side so i know its my fathers maternal side. however my 2nd cousin - my paternal nana and their gt grandmother were siblings but i think my nana and her sister have different fathers because i only share 53cm with her, my half bro shares 28cm, full bro 14cm and half niece 14 cm. and they do  not match either with DNA A.B.C

So im guessing my dads maternal fathers side. but also i have connected DNA match A to me at 7th gr grandparents so i know a much closer match is somewhere

any help greatly appriciated

If you have accurate trees for A,B and C and have identified their common ancestor you could put it into Wato or Wato+ and run it against each test you manage. It would mean a bit of swapping and changing cM  figures for each new test and no guarantee a result would be a 100% 'only one possible outcome' hypothesis but it's worth a try and eliminate some options.

It also allows you to share everything in an anonymised tree for easier viewing.

Wto and Wato+ can be found from the main page of https://dnapainter.com/

Thankyou ive tried that, just been changing cms for me and my brothers and its totally different areas of suggestions. i also came across another DNA match that wasnt even in the matches of 3 but from the generation above.. i have connected them to the tree me 26cm 2 segs my brother matches 72cm 5 segs, half bro 18cm 1 seg and that shows as his maternal not paternal!.

not 1 of them is answering messages either
