The trim on the blazer in the original phto of "unkown" is actually diagonally striped braid I think. When you zoom in you can make out tiny stripes on it in all places where there is binding.

Likewise, the lighter coloured stripes on the tie have tiny diagonal stripes within them.

Also when I peer at the pocket, I am persuaded that its top edge has the same braining but under it is some embroidered writing.

Can I see a date?

That’s why I asked OP (who has been on line at least twice since starting this thread) if we could have a better close up of the pocket.   Some context in where that photo comes from would be helpful too.

Hi again.

I will post a couple of blazers that were of interest when I first started looking.

The silver fern on the rugby, blazer is very similar in shape and placement. Both have NEW ZEALAND across the top of the pocket, and occasion/event event below the fern logo.
