My Heritage or Genes Reunited
« on: Thursday 26 June 25 19:09 BST (UK) »
Good evening all

I have one of my trees on the My Heritage site on my PC. I’ve added quite a lot of photos & data and synched it, but the photos aren’t showing on my iPad.  Does anyone know why, please?

However, I’ve read on here (somewhere) that there can be an issue when there’s too many photos under the free MH site.  Is there any way I can export the data to my tree on Genes Reunited?

Thanks in advance.

The apps can be a problem on some devices, the primary bulk data transfer method is gedcom but it is text only (it doesn't support images).  Importing a file wouldn't combine the new information into the existing GR tree it would simply overwrite it.

Thanks Glen.

In the meantime I’m updating my free version of MH on the PC and luckily it seems to be synching ok with my iPad as well, plus showing all the images.  So I think I’ll see how it goes.

I’d hate to lose any data I’ve added.
