Ive posted quite a bit about my Jacob family up as far as Robert in previous posts,but i still cant get beyond him with any real certainty.
Robert Jacob married Mary Ann Pierce Feb 9th 1746 Boughton under Blean.Their 1st child,so far as i can see,was Robert bapt 9th April 1748 Boughton under Blean.
Where im stuck is Robert Snrs birth.I think his death is 6th Sept 1792 Chilham,and his wife Mary 18th Feb 1797 Chilham.I think she was born in 1726.
Theres a birth in Faversham for a Robert 16th Oct 1709 to Miles and Mary,and another 19th April 1722 Westwell to Robert.
My family has a long association with the Faversham/Boughton/Chilham area,Faversham being my home town,and my great grandfather Thomas was a foreman at the Gunpowder works.So at first glance,the Faversham birth seems more likely,but for me,it feels a bit early.He would have been 37 when he married Mary.
Looking at the other birth,Westwell is about 10 miles from Faversham,so not that far.
Please can anyone find anything that would help me establish which of these two Roberts is mine.Maybe the age at death of the Robert whose registered in Chilham,or anything else that might help.
