James Fryman b1794
« on: Tuesday 24 June 25 18:09 BST (UK) »
Hi
Wonder if anyone would be able to help  :) I'm looking for a birth/christening of James Fryman as I'm trying to find his parents  - thought I had them but now not so sure  ;D

Born 11th July 1794 in Bexhill - this is from his Seamans ticket
1818 married Mary Lancaster in Grimsby
1841 census Grimsby
1844 Seamans Tickets Grimsby
1851/1861 census Grimsby
1865 married Mary Osborne Grimsby -  father listed as Henry Fryman, Labourer
1871 census Grimsby
died 1876 Grimsby

Thank you in advance
Fiona

Removed Sorry :'(

Edited

Details removed as the tree on Ancestry has fathers DoB as 1778 and mothers DoB as 1784
If James was born in 1794 dad would have been 16 and mum would have been 10 (I really hope this is wrong)

Glad I double checked  :-\ :-\

Is this another marriage - or a different James FRYMAN?

"May 3, at Grimsby, Mr. James Fryman, mariner, to Miss Ann Barker, both of Grimsby."
Friday,  May 7, 1847
Publication: Hull Packet

A transcription only of the marriage is on Ancestry on 3 May 1847 at St James, Great Grimsby- his father James FRYMAN, (her's - Robert BARKER)

Modified to strike through:
I think this James FRYMAN was born 1823, so his son.

There are Freeman baptisms in Bexhill around the time, with a few as Friman.
Parents Henry and Mary, also Andrew and Sarah, Thomas and Sarah.

The only James may be James Friman in 1796, son of Andrew and Sarah.
