Help
« on: Tuesday 24 June 25 17:40 BST (UK) »
Hello, I am pretty new to RootsChat and to genealogy. I have been on this about a month and I have most of what I need. I have a subscription to Ancestry and I use Family Search for research mostly.
What I need help with is my 10th great-grandfather. His name is Robert Tooley. I have a marriage record that has him married at St. Michael at Plea Church in Norwich, Norfolk, England. His wife is Elizabeth Church, and they were married on November 12 1694.
My problem is when I go to do more research, like finding his parents and siblings, I run into many, many John Tooleys, some with different spellings, such as Tuley, and married to the same Elizabeth, but no last name.
My question is, how do we get past these obstacles? Is there a hint that can help me, or will this be the end of my research?
Thank you in advance for any answers.
Tooley/Tooley so far

Always difficult that far back, but you could try FreeREG.

As it’s an Archdeaconry of Norwich (ANW) will, you should be able to access the image through Family Search
