Is there anyway I could check if Probate has gone through in March this year, if not will it be on a list about to be heard in North Wales?

Thank you very much Rosie that's what I was looking for. Sadly I can't find the person I was looking for so Probate probably hasn't gone through yet. Do you happen to know if there is a list of probate hearings that are to be heard in the future? The place would be Caernarvon, Gwynedd, Wales.

Sorry Carol I don't know the Probate day, but the person died 6th March this year so I expect it's early days yet.

It all depends on when the Executer actually submits the application.

My sister died last month but it will be another couple of weeks before I can submit probate because I am waiting on various documentation to finalise the application.

If you are family kin, I think this is a question you can ask direct to the Probate Registry?

Several of my friends and family have been dealing with Probate Applications where they were appointed as Executors by a Will and the Probate Applications were all done by post.

But not everyone leaves a Will, or a Will is not found (Intestate). Their website has information about this.

In the UK, I believe there may only be a hearing if someone disputes or challenges the Application by another for Probate?

If the estate is liable for Inheritance Tax - there can be a delay as the IHT has to be paid before Probate can be granted.

If the person only died in March it’s early days yet for probate
